Since it's formation 30 years ago Castle has developed a justified worldwide reputation for the quality of its cabinetwork. The brand is world famous for not only the outstanding finishes it offers but also for the wide variety of alternatives All Castle speakers come in a choice of eight different veneers as well as an option to customise a finish specifically for you. Details on of these can be seen elsewhere in this web site, with images and descriptions of the nine standards available.

However in the case of the Compact System we are pleased to offer a further two options to further increase the flexibility of the Compact System. The first of these is a Silver option; this is a paint effect finish and is available on all of the constituent parts of the system. However its most probable application is for the Compact Centre, when it is being used in conjunction with a silver finish television. The Silver option can be specified with your dealer regardless of what finish you chose for the remaining speakers in the system.

The final option on the Castle Compact is the new super deluxe finish "Slate Grey Birds Eye Maple". This alternative will be available from 2004 and offers a dramatic alternative to the more traditional finishes in the range. Birds Eye Maple veneer is a special exclusive, and hence expensive version of the Maple we offer as standard on all our models. It has a very dense pattern and structure to the veneer and is visually very attractive. In this case the raw veneer has been stained grey then cured prior to its application to the MDF board. This is then given a polyester lacquer followed by a buffing process to produce a high gloss finish.
